PEAT

PEAT is a story that focuses on the disappearance of a child somewhere in the pits and bogs of the peat moorland. In the world above, a fractious family situation dissolves into in-fighting and loneliness, but below the peat, little Fred is kept captivated, but also kept hostage, by faceless creatures hewn from the peat. Amid caverns and crystals of this vast subterranean world, they keep him entertained by acting out all the stories he’s swallowed from his mum and the local library.
